Combine Visualization with Affirmations, Step back and Watch out!

Affirmations work just like Hypnotic Suggestions in hypnosis exercises. Say them enough and you eventually believe them literally. While visualizing, repeat some affirmations. This naturally gets more of your senses in tune with the process thus making the experience more real, and that's what you want. You want it to feel real.

Do this regularly for about 5 minutes or so right before meditation.

This really really works! Your belief in the process has a direct effect on the results you get. The more you know about meditation and visualization, the more you're programmed to believe in it. Belief in it, is trust in it. Within the Laws of Manifesting and Attraction, the Power of trust should be your best friend. Keep close sight of that.

Attract things into your life much faster with Visualization

Visualization is a perfect complement to meditation and will dramatically improve your results. Spend a few minutes a day imagining yourself feeling Immensely relieved that your manifestations have already arrived. What would it feel like to deeply enjoy the things that you intend to manifest? Generate some mental pictures of yourself doing just that, and allow yourself to feel that way. The more you imagine yourself feeling and acting confidently about receiving your manifestations, the easier you'll find it to do in your day to day experiences. Do this right before you meditate.

Meditation is essential to getting connected Spiritually, creating a more peaceful way of living, and one of many ways to Turbo Charge your Manifesting Powers with "The Law of Attraction." Meditation gives an extra kick to connecting with a much deeper part of yourself, Your Higher Self. It allows you to Transcend your thoughts and be one with your true Inner Being. Live your Life from a calmer and Deeper perspective by Meditating on a regular basis.

Here are a few things to consider when using Meditation to kick the Powers of Law of Attraction into High Gear:

- Attract things into your life much faster with Visualization
- Combine Visualization with Affirmations

Use your meditation sessions to keep your Powers of Attraction Razor Sharp. As your trust grows, your Manifestations appear quicker because you have far less mental resistance. This process rapidly improves the Speed of your manifestations and provides a much smoother transition for them to enter your Reality.

Importance of Focus

Thursday, November 06, 2008

The principle here is focus. You could also try focusing on a certain object or thought, or even, while keeping your eyes open, focus on a single sight.

One sample routine would be to; while in a meditative state, silently name every part of you body and focusing your consciousness on that part. While doing this you should be aware of any tension on any part of your body. Mentally visualize releasing this tension. It works wonders.

In all, meditation is a relatively risk-free practice and its benefits are well worth the effort (or non-effort, remember we’re relaxing).

Studies have shown that meditation does bring about beneficial physiologic effects to the body. And there has been a growing consensus in the medical community to further study the effects of such. So in the near future, who knows, that mystical, esoteric thing we call meditation might become a science itself!

Keep Spirit On Silence

Wednesday, November 05, 2008

Silence helps most people relax and meditate, so you may want a quiet, isolated area far from the ringing of the phone or the humming of the washing machine. Pleasing scents also help in that regard, so stocking up on aromatic candles isn’t such a bad idea either.

The monks you see on television making those monotonous sounds are actually performing their mantra. This, in simple terms, is a short creed, a simple sound which, for these practitioners, holds a mystic value.

You do not need to perform such; however, it would pay to note that focusing on repeated actions such as breathing, and humming help the practitioner enter a higher state of consciousness.

The principle here is focus. You could also try focusing on a certain object or thought, or even, while keeping your eyes open, focus on a single sight.

Meditation Position

Tuesday, November 04, 2008

If you find the meditating positions you see on television threatening, those with impossibly arched backs, and painful-looking contortions, you need not worry. The principle here is to be in a comfortable position conducive to concentration. This may be while sitting cross-legged, standing, lying down, and even walking.

If the position allows you to relax and focus, then that would be a good starting point. While sitting or standing, the back should be straight, but not tense or tight. In other positions, the only no-no is slouching and falling asleep.

Loose, comfortable clothes help a lot in the process since tight fitting clothes have a tendency to choke you up and make you feel tense.

The place you perform meditation should have a soothing atmosphere. It may be in your living room, or bedroom, or any place that you feel comfortable in. You might want an exercise mat if you plan to take on the more challenging positions (if you feel more focused doing so, and if the contortionist in you is screaming for release). You may want to have the place arranged so that it is soothing to your senses.

Meditation refers to a state where your body, soul, and spirit are consciously relaxed and focused. Practitioners of this art report increased awareness, focus, and concentration, as well as a more positive outlook in life.

Meditation is most commonly associated with monks, mystics and other spiritual disciplines. However, you don’t have to be a monk or mystic to enjoy its benefits. And you don’t even have to be in a special place to practice it. You could even try it in your own living room!

Although there are many different approaches to meditation, the fundamental principles remain the same. The most important among these principles is that of removing obstructive, negative, and wandering thoughts and fantasies, and calming the mind with a deep sense of focus. This clears the mind of debris and prepares it for a higher quality of activity.

The negative thoughts you have, those of noisy neighbors, bossy officemates, that parking ticket you got, and unwanted spam are said to contribute to the ‘polluting’ of the mind, and shutting them out is allows for the ‘cleansing’ of the mind so that it may focus on deeper, more meaningful thoughts.

Some practitioners even shut out all sensory input:
  • No sights
  • No sounds
  • Nothing to touch
  • Try to detach themselves from the commotion around them

You may now focus on a deep, profound thought if this is your goal. It may seem deafening at first, since we are all too accustomed to constantly hearing and seeing things, but as you continue this exercise you will find yourself becoming more aware of everything around you.

Here are the following steps to performing this type of meditation.

1. Find a quiet uninterrupted area. Outside locations and libraries are horrible because weather changes and libraries have operation hours. I recommend a bedroom where no one really comes in or out very much.

2. Lay flat on your back on the floor. Keep your hands by your sides. This is a great position because your body parts have a minimized risk of falling asleep and you will hopefully be uncomfortable enough to keep from falling asleep. Falling asleep means you aren't doing what you need to do.

3. Close your eyes and steady your breathing to a slow rhythmic rate. Relax yourself and make your body go still. Being unable to remain still, like having a drug problem or ADD will prevent you from going past this point. I recommend quitting drugs and seeking medical help if you can't keep your self still. If you can get yourself to become extremely still then you are ready to go to the next step. I recommend practicing keeping yourself still until you can do it for a large amount of time like an hour or so.

4. If you can manage to still your body, you will notice that your mind wanders. You'll start to do what most people do, you'll daydream about other parts of your life, you'll worry, you'll think of some significant other. At this point you want to force yourself to think of absolutely nothing. A method I was taught was to imagine the inside of your eyes as being a black screen. Nothing is on it and nothing is moving. Picturing other things in your head like other colors or shapes will only cause delays. Continually concentrate on that black screen and keep it black and featureless.

5. As you are keeping your mind blanked out, imagine the continual unending whistle of a train whistle in your head at the same time. Keep it going and do not stop the sound or lose the black image in your head. Remain in this state as long as you can muster. If you are doing it right, I doubt you can stay like that for more than five minutes starting out. Each day you practice, you will get better and better at it.

So, what will happen then is difficult to describe. Let’s go find out here.

When difficult to describing meditation comes, then you will fall into a strange state where you actually like having your mind silenced like that. You can remain in that state for an enormous amount of time and you will actually cause yourself to lose the feeling of your entire body. You won't fall asleep but rather you will become more and more aware of thoughts that you never thought you had.

Simply continue to eliminate them and continue. These are the following changes you will observe if all is going well. It will take less and less time for you to achieve the above mentioned meditation state I have explained.

  • You will actually enjoy going into this state.
  • You will revive in this state in a heightened mental state.
  • You will find it easier to concentrate on just about anything.

Eventually you will arrive to the point that you can no longer eliminate any additional thoughts in your head. This is the state you are wanting. I'd like to say what can happen from that point, but that's material for another article. 99% of the general public will not be able to do this so if you find you are struggling or you are unable to quiet your mind, maybe you ought to try some other hobby like windsurfing or skydiving.

If you are listening for something very quiet in your mind, your mind needs to be as quiet as possible. It actually needs to be utterly silent or you will fail completely in what you can accomplish. Using standard ways to relax your mind like listening to music, reading a book, watching TV, messing around on the internet; none of these things will help you. The only tool I know of that will silence your mind and increase mental discipline is meditation.

I know, I know. Every time anyone thinks of meditation, they think of some martial arts guy sitting under a tree and making some ummmmmm noise. They then wake up and start saying confusing things like: "To go forward is to go back" or "snatch the pebble from my hand". First order of business is to ditch that image. Meditation is a very ordered method in clearing all thoughts in your mind to allow you to concentrate to your fullest extent.

Meditation is critical; because it will train you in achieving something I have labeled the Omega State. Within this state, you will realize you have psychic abilities. Reflecting at what I said at the beginning of this article, it might appear to conflict with what I said. Let me rephrase, 'IF' you can enter into this state.

Let’s try to learn about meditation, on the next article in this blog.
